About

Portrait of Sanna Klefbom

I am Sanna. I'm a UX & Service Designer based in Göteborg. My background is in the humanities, with a master's in Interaction Design. It's a combination that makes me a systems-thinking designer, drawn to how design shapes human experience, culture and society.

That humanistic lens feels more relevant than ever. I think AI is one of the most exciting things to have happened to the design process, and I'm interested in what it asks of us designers. I believe that as almost anyone becomes able to build something digital and beyond, what will set trained designers apart is the ability to create truly human-centered products that feel beautiful to use. We will be pushed to be even better at the thing we are supposed to be best at: designing interactions between humans and machines that people can trust, feel safe, and recognise themselves in.

In my own daily work I explore how AI tools are changing my way of working and my role as a designer. I see that my design work is moving more towards designing skills, agents and .md files so that my AI tools can support me in a better way. It is also clear that the quality of the output is only as good as my human judgement guiding it. Designing that relationship, between human judgement and the machines we build to support it, is where I want to keep working next.

Photography

Alongside design, photography is what sparks my creativity. I use photography to catch a feeling, and to practice the art of noticing in an otherwise busy everyday. The selected pictures below gives a glimpse into my life outside of work. I am from Hälsingland in northern Sweden, and every summer our family moves to our summer house which is some of the best months of the year. I love days on the islands in Hälsingland’s archipelago, fishing, reading, cooking asian food and watching women’s football. I have travelled around the world by myself, and I’ve lived in London and Oslo. Right now I live in Majorna in Gothenburg with my wife and son.
